We will provide a proactive approach to the prevention of racially motivated crime through greater use of intelligence and community information. This will be achieved by: Undertaking risk
assessments in the more serious cases and those of a repeat nature. Analysing
patterns, trends and victim profiles. Briefing
and de-briefing of patrol officers. Directed
patrolling of uniformed officers. Use of
surveillance equipment where applicable. Establishing
a system for receiving information from the community. Working
with schools, youth clubs and outreach workers to educate the young people of
the Borough. Developing
partnerships with other social landlords to enable civil action to be taken
against perpetrators where beneficial. |
