The mental and physical impact of racially motivated crime on a victim (and witnesses) is often under­estimated. We will provide advice and practical support to reduce this impact as far as possible. This will be achieved by:

Forming a lay panel from the local community to act as mediators where there are problems with communication or family liaison.

Offering the provision of physical security measures as appropriate.

Maintaining regular communication during the investigation process.

Providing a victim information leaflet containing details of other relevant “help’ agencies.

Liaising with Greenwich Council to arrange alternative accommodation if necessary.

Identifying a named key officer with whom the victim/witness can liaise.
