Employment

Majority of the London Borough of Greenwich’s Statutory, Voluntary and Private sector employers are effectively carrying out their Equal Opportunities Policy in their organisations to a large extent but not fully.

Greenwich Council for Racial Equality is carrying out in the Greenwich Borough an effective workforce monitoring. By doing so we could now see particularly in the private sector, departmental stores, shops, etc. Black/Asian and other ethnic minorities where they were never visible before. GCRE Employment unit is continually striving in breaking down barriers to employment, thereby helping the BME communities to gain employment.

We give below some details of the BME workforce details received by us as a result of our workforce monitoring policy carried out this year.
